Indian Actress Bhairavi Goswami 1984

Bhairavi Goswami, (Hindi: भैरवी गोस्वामी; born 12 November 1984) is an Indian-born actress, fashion model, television host and humanitarian. Bhairavi was born in South India to parents of mixed heritage. Her father is part Bengali part South Indian and her mother is Creole. Bhairavi left India at the age of 6 to return as a teenager to pursue a career in Modeling/Acting, spending most of her adolescent life in the United Kingdom.

Modelling

Bhairavi’s career began as a teenager when she participated in the coveted “Gladrags Mega Model” contest. Gladrags was followed by Bhairavi winning the “Pantaloons Model Quest” & runner up at the “AXN Hot & Wild” contest. Times of India even quoted, “She’s the Paris Hilton of India, who loves to socialise”. She is the only Indian model to have been featured in TIME, Telerama, Courier International & Paris Match. She has modelled for top designers such as Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Narendra Kumar, Archana Kochar, Shane & Falguni Peacock, Azeem Khan, Satya Paul, Libas, Deepal Mehta, Anshu Modi etc. Graced the covers of several magazines and featured in innumerable fashion features of regional, national and international magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Savvy, Gladrags, Sensationz, Elan, Occasions, Mans World, New Woman, Outlook, Gurlz, Society, Femina, Femina Girl, Woman’s Era, Meri Saheli, Vanitha, La Mode, Upper Crust, Woman, Elle, L’Officiel, GT-Guything, 4D Woman, Movie, Newsweek. After the runaway success of her debut - Sagar Bellary’s superhit movie Bheja Fry, she acted in the children's hit composite animation film ‘My Friend Ganesha 2’. In her next film she plays a glamorous girl in Mr. Bhatti On Chutti, starring Anupam Kher in lead role and featuring Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo appearance. Bhairavi has shed her glamorous image to play a simple school teacher in ‘Kachcha Limboo’. Apart from this she has also acted in ‘My Daddy Strongest’ with Kumar Gaurav - it is the world's first silent children's film. With 10 successful plays to her credit like “Liar Liar”, “Tea Coffee or Me”, “Mad House”, “See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil” with theatre stalwarts like Alyque Padamsee, Dinyar Contractor & Paritosh Painter, Bhairavi has performed in over 700 stage shows worldwide.

Personal life

Bhairavi is a trained dancer in Flamenco & Bharatnatyam and speaks 7 languages English, Hindi, French, German, Sanskrit, Tamil and Kannada. She is passionate about animals and is an Animal Rights Activist. Born in an affluent Business family, Bhairavi wanted to become an entrepreneur. Apart from her career as an Actress in the Indian Film fraternity, Bhairavi has more than 10 plays to her credit. An innovative cook & food connoisseur, Bhairavi Goswami is professionally associated with a large food company in India.

Bollywood Actor Amjad Khan 1940

Amjad Khan was born in Hyderabad to a legendry actor of 50's- Jayant. He entered the Hindi film Industry as a child artist with "Ab Dilli Dur Nahi". Before entering into films Amjed Khan was a theatre actor. His debut film was "Hindustan Ki Kasam". The film was made on the theme of Indo-Pak war of 1971. The role that immortalized Amjad Khan in Bollywood was 'Gabbar Singh' of "Sholay". 'Gabbar Singh' made Amzad Khan a household name. For the role of 'Gabbar Singh' Amjad Khan read "Abhishapth Chambal", a book on Chambal dacoits written by Taroon Kumar Bhaduri (father of actress Jaya Bhaduri). Post "Sholay" Amjad Khan acted in a number of movies in negative role opposite Amitabh Bachchan. "Parvarish", "Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin", "Aakhri Goli", "Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan", "Muqadar Ka Sikander", "Kasme Vaade", "Heeralal Pannalal" and "Khoon Ki Pukaar" are some of those movies.

Amjad Khan also played many other unconventional roles. He played the role of helpless and deluded Wajid Ali Shah, who was nawab of Awadh, in the film "Shatranj Ke Khiladi". Amjad won critical acclaims for his performance in this film. Amzad Khan also played a positive role as friend of Amitabh Bachchan in the film "Yarana". In the film "Utsav" he portrayed the character of Vatsyana, the writer of Kamsutra, a treatise on art of love.

Besides acting in films he also tried his hand at directing films. In 1976, he met with a near fatal accident on the Bombay-Goa road, when he rammed his car into a tree while trying to avoid a boulder. The drugs administered to him for treatment caused a serious weight problem for the rest of his life. As a result of his increasing weight he died in 1992 after suffering from a heart failure at the age of 51.
